Deciding on the right school for your child is difficult. There is much to consider to ensure you and your child choose a school that meets your needs, expectations and delivers long-lasting results to ensure your child is armed with the skills to succeed in the world. Below we have compiled a list of Frequently Asked Questions, to which we have given answers to help you with your school selection process. OK Academy School Limited we combine the English National Curriculum with the NACCA Curriculum from Crèche to Primary 6. Given such a unique blend of both Curricula, children are self-motivated and quickly develop in independence, confidence and concentration to prepare them for the Cambridge Primary Checkpoint or the BECE. English is our teaching language.
OK is a day school and does not have a boarding facility.
School day starts at 7 am and ends at 5:30 pm for the Early Years Foundation (Creche to Reception). The Primary and Junior High School begin their day at 7 am and end at 3:00 pm, Monday to Friday.
Pupils have two break times, namely snack break and lunch break. They also have varied times for class play times in a day.
The school provides lunch for all children. Lunch menus are made available to parents to make food choices for their children.
Class sizes are limited to 25 pupils in a class. In the Early Years department, each class has a qualified teacher and two full time teaching assistants. The Primary department has a qualified teacher and a full time teaching assistant for each class.
Children can select at least three different activities each term. Club activities include but not limited to: swimming club, reading club, maths club, music club, art and craft club, choir club, cultural dance club among others.
The school uniform policy applies to all pupils. These items of clothing have been chosen because they are comfortable, safe and appropriate for the activities undertaken at school. Uniforms are sold at the school, the toddlers in Crèche wear polo shirts and blue jeans. All other pupils wear white shirts with a red tie and grey shorts or skirt.

Boys: white short sleeved shirt and grey shorts with flat black shoe and white socks (no trainers)

Thursdays: Polo shirt and blue jeans with black shoe/sneakers
Fridays: P.E Kit and trainers
OK provides services to support English as Second Language learners. Your child will be assessed upon entry to develop a suitable plan to support your child’s academic success.
As an international school, we recognize that our students come from very different backgrounds and many may not speak English as a first language. OK has dedicated ESL teachers on both campuses to support students who speak English as a second language. Your child will be assessed in order for us to develop a personal learning plan that will meet the needs of your child and ensure a successful academic outcome.
